About Linda Claydon

Founder of Maysland School of Holistic Therapies

Linda Claydon is the founder and driving force behind Maysland School of Holistic Therapies, established in 2004. What began as a passion for Reiki has grown into a diverse and welcoming school offering a wide range of holistic therapy courses.

Initially offering all levels of Reiki training, Linda expanded the school’s offerings to include:

  • Indian Head Massage
  • Hopi Ear Candles
  • Reiki Angelic Energy Healing – a unique course personally developed and written by Linda

Though Maysland School of Holistic Therapies is non-accredited, all courses are fully validated and insured through professional bodies such as Balens and IPTI, ensuring high standards and practitioner confidence.

Linda’s journey in complementary therapies began in 1990 when she graduated with distinction in Reflexology from Anne Gillanders’ British School of Reflexology in Harlow, Essex. Her passion for learning led her to undertake additional specialist reflexology training with Anne, focusing on:

  • The intestinal tract
  • Well-woman care using Chinese pressure points
  • Fertility and pregnancy support

Her professional training portfolio continued to grow and now includes:

  • Reiki Master Teacher (2003)
  • Swedish Body Massage
  • Sports Massage
  • Tibetan Accu Sound Healing
  • Flower Essence Therapy
  • Thai Foot Massage
  • Navel Candling
  • Hot and Cold Stone Reflexology

Linda also earned a City & Guilds Delivery and Learning certificate from Braintree College to enhance her teaching capabilities, especially in accommodating diverse learning styles.

As someone who is dyslexic with both words and numbers, Linda brings empathy and a unique, accessible teaching style that has resonated with students for over three decades. Her personal journey has not only shaped her as a therapist but also as a compassionate and understanding teacher.

Now with over 34 years of experience, Linda continues to share her knowledge and passion from her home in Hundon, Suffolk, where she lives with her disabled husband and their beloved dog. Teaching and therapies are offered in a cosy, private cabin nestled in her garden — a peaceful and supportive space for learning and healing.
